We’ve gone to PNG three times, in 1998, 2008 and 2018. We were going to break the ten year cycle in 2020, but COVID-19 interfered with that. We are going back, maybe in August this year if things open up, if not, then the first year we can.
The first time was at the conclusion of a dive trip in the waters around PNG with Cathy Church and Herb Rafael. Seeing we were already there, they suggested to our little group, “Why not join us on a visit inland?” We took them up on it. Best suggestion we’ve ever had. Would go there more often, and take all our family with us, if it wasn’t so darn (for good reasons) expensive.

Cathy and Herb also invited us to go with them, and some others they’d traveled with, on a photo safari to Kenya. That is also right up there with our favorite adventures and one day will be added to this site.
